Silvana Carrion-Palomares Ed.D.
CEO
Silvana Carrion-Palomares is a higher education leader and equity practitioner with over a decade of experience advancing student success initiatives across community colleges. Currently serving as Interim Director of Hispanic Serving Initiatives at Glendale Community College, she oversees complex federally funded programs, ensuring strategic alignment, fiscal accountability, and measurable outcomes that improve equity and access for historically underserved students. Her professional background includes leadership roles in equity, pathways, and inclusion, as well as extensive grant management experience with major initiatives such as NSF and Title V projects. Silvana has led institution-wide professional development, guided data-informed equity strategies, and collaborated across faculty, staff, and community partners to close achievement gaps. She holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and is a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at CSU Northridge, with a research focus on equity-minded practices in STEM and community college settings.

Zoila P. Carrion M.Ed. - M.A.L.
Manager
Zoila holds a Master of Education with a concentration in Language and Literacy, a Reading Specialist Credential, and a Master’s in Applied Linguistics with a focus on English as a Second Language. With almost 30 years of teaching experience in a variety of roles, she brings deep expertise and a passion for literacy education. Zoila is also a certified Instructional Coach through the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education (UPenn GSE).
She is dedicated to supporting diversity, multilingualism and biliteracy by applying effective, research-based strategies that make learning accessible to ALL students. Zoila has extensive experience designing and delivering professional development across diverse educational settings nationwide, helping educators strengthen curriculum planning and enhance lesson delivery to meet the needs of all learners.
